A Sandy Springs traffic forum focused on the future Braves stadium impacts is slated for Sept. 21 at Riverwood International Charter School.
The traffic forum, hosted by the Riverside Homeowners Association, will include several top officials from the state, the city, the Georgia Department of Transportation and Cobb County.
Among those slated to attend are: GDOT board member Jeff Lewis; Sandy Springs Mayor Rusty Paul; Cobb County Commissioner Bob Ott; state Rep. Joe Wilkinson; state Rep.-elect Deborah Silcox; and state Senators Hunter Hill and Judson Hill.
Traffic is a major issue across Sandy Springs, but especially high concern and controversy comes with the impact of the Atlanta Braves’ new SunTrust Park and related commercial development slated to open early next year just a few miles west of the city line.
The traffic forum is open to the public and starts at 7 p.m. at Riverwood, 5900 Raider Drive.
