Atlanta Police are preparing to manage crowds and traffic related to Music Midtown this Saturday and Sunday in Piedmont Park. Performances begin at 12:30 p.m. on both days are scheduled into the evening hours. This year’s headliners include The Killers, Twenty One Pilots, Beck and Deadmau5 along with appearances by Big Boi, Churches, Kesha, James Bay, Band of Horses and many more.

APD’s security plan includes a strong law enforcement presence, consisting of both on-duty and off-duty officers. Additional police presence in the form of Mounted Patrol and the Path Force bicycle patrols will be available to assist with traffic and security issues.

Parking around Piedmont Park is extremely limited which means officials will be ticketing and towing illegally-parked vehicles from the neighborhoods and businesses around the area. Attendees are encouraged to take MARTA or other alternate modes of transportation.  In addition, there will be road closures primarily in the area of 10th street between Piedmont and Monroe Drive.
