An Oct. 17 meeting will kick off the public process for “Buckhead Redefined,” an updated master plan for much of the neighborhood.

Buckhead Redefined is technically an update of a 16-year-old Atlanta Regional Commission Livable Centers Initiative plan laying out how and where redevelopment should happen. But it is also taking a broader scope and folding in other efforts, such as a planned Lenox Road redesign and the potential park over Ga. 400.

A core group of organizations is leading the master plan effort, including the Buckhead Business Association, the Buckhead Coalition, the Buckhead Community Improvement District, Livable Buckhead and the Rotary Club of Buckhead. There is also a stakeholder committee with more than 40 members, which recently held its first meeting.

The Oct. 17 meeting will run 6 to 8 p.m. at the Atlanta International School’s ELC multi-purpose room, 2890 N. Fulton Dr. NE.
