A “not-so-frightful” Halloween celebration for young children will be held Saturday, Oct. 29 at Sandy Springs’ Abernathy Greenway Park.

Dubbed “Spooky Springs,” the free event runs 6 to 8 p.m. at the park at 70 Abernathy Road NE. It will include stations with trick-or-treat candy, face-painting and photos, plus the Dog on Wheels food truck.

The only on-site parking allowed will be for people with handicapped placards. Nearby residents are encouraged to walk. Limited parking will be available at Sandy Springs Christian Church, 301 Johnson Ferry Road, and shuttle buses will run from the Weber School, 6751 Roswell Road.

Spooky Springs is staged by Sandy Springs Hospitality & Tourism. For more information, see the event website here.
