The final draft of Sandy Springs’ new Comprehensive Land Use Plan will be presented for community review at two meetings on Nov. 16.

A morning meeting will run 9:30 a.m. to noon at Chastain Horse Park in Buckhead’s Chastain Park, 4371 Powers Ferry Road. An evening meeting will run 5:30-8:30 p.m. at the Sherwood Event Hall, 8610 Roswell Road.

Mayor Rusty Paul, in a press release, urged residents to attend so the city can “make sure we carry forward a vision that is comprised of collective community thought.”

The Comp Plan is a 10-year city planning vision and policy document currently under major revision as part of the city’s “Next Ten” process. It will help inform a totally new zoning code that is also in the works. The latest community meeting about the draft Comp Plan was held in July, where consultants presented ideas for more mixed-use developments, better transit and improved green space.
