A Dunwoody woman returning home to her apartment after walking her children to school was attacked and robbed by two armed men in a violent home invasion early Nov. 9.
At about 6:30 a.m., two armed men entered a woman’s residence in the Dunwoody Glen apartments at 6750 Peachtree Industrial Boulevard, according to a Dunwoody police report. When the woman returned from walking her children to school, the armed men attacked her by punching her in the face, striking her in the head with a handgun and tackling her while demanding her money, the report states.
“The victim was able to escape her attackers after fighting them off. The suspects then removed a large safe containing the victim’s personal valuables and fled on foot out of the same window they entered from,” according to the report.
The first suspect is described as being between 17-25 years old, about 6-feet tall, having a thin build and wearing sweat pants with a star pattern below the knee. He was also wearing a long-sleeve sweat shirt, gray mask, gloves and boots, police said. He was armed with a small black gun.
The second suspect is also described as being between 17 and 25, about 5-foot 8-inches tall, weighing betwen 150 and 170 pounds. He was wearing a black or gray sweater, khaki pants and gloves and was armed with a small knife and metal pipe.
