Gov. Nathan Deal and Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed held a news conference Thursday to announce a $400 million expansion at the United Parcel Service distribution hub that will also create 1,250 new jobs. According to our broadcast partner CBS46, the expansion is scheduled to be complete by the end of 2018.
UPS has its global headquarters in the city of Atlanta and already employs more than 14,000 workers at its facilities statewide.

When combined with the strong transportation connections and talented labor pool that Atlanta provides, UPS is building flexibility to meet the growing needs of our customers and our business in Georgia, and around the world.”
