The city of Brookhaven Parks & Recreation Department will celebrate new pedestrian bridges at Briarwood Park and Murphey Candler Park on Monday and Tuesday, Nov. 21 and 22, according to a press release.

Mayor John Ernst and members of the conservancies for each park will be on hand during the festivities, and light refreshments will be served.

The ribbon-cutting for the Briarwood Park bridge will be Nov. 21 at 4:30 p.m., and the ribbon-cutting for the Murphey Candler bridge will be Nov. 22 at 9 a.m.

The Briarwood bridge is located near the recreation center, and the Murphey Candler bridge is on the east side of the lake near the fishing pier and parking lot.

Briarwood Park is located at 2235 Briarwood Way, and Murphey Candler Park is located at 1551 West Nancy Creek Drive.
