The Committee on Council and Finance/Executive Committee of the Atlanta City Council will hold a joint work session regarding proposed Ordinance 15-O-1585, public access to city financial expenditures and 15-R-4504, public access to city council financial expenditures on Thursday, Dec. 8, at 4 p.m. in Committee Room No. 1, Atlanta City Hall, 55 Trinity Ave. In an effort to ensure the transparency of all financial expenditures incurred by the city, the Atlanta City Council is considering the aforementioned legislation which would allow the public to access to the city’s  financial records and information. The meeting is open to the public and public comment.

Ponce City Market and Uber have partnered to offer riders complimentary trips to and from the Old Fourth Ward shopping and dining destination on Nov. 25 and 26. PCM visitors can redeem complimentary rides by entering “PCMMERRYANDBRIGHT” when scheduling a car with Uber’s mobile app. The code will cover up to $15 on an UberX ride to or from PCM during regular business hours while supplies last. Riders will also be eligible to receive a $10 Uber credit if they spend $100 or more at PCM.

Downtown Atlanta’s Peachtree Center has unveiled Peachtree Marketplace, a pop-up retail concept in the mall area of the mixed-use property. The marketplace features four retailers –  Baker Dude Cupcakes, Southern Candy Company, Qwik 2 Fix Smartphone Repair & Accessories and aromatherapy retailer Flame of Life.
