Sandy Springs police are investigating the Nov. 25 shooting death of a woman at the Avalon Townhomes complex.

Police say Sierra Ford, 25, was found dead at about 3 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 25, from an apparent gunshot wound. She was found dead in the bedroom of one on the units. The complex is located at 165 North River Drive.

Police also reported that Tyrique Lobban was found sitting on the sidewalk outside the complex wearing a white T-shirt and with an apparent gun shot wound to his left upper arm.

Lobban was treated at the scene and then taken to North Fulton Hospital.

Capt. Mike Lindstrom said Dec. 1 there was no further information on the case at this time.

  1. Is it news when something occurs daily? The daily death count in a state where anyone can carry a gun and law enforcement isn’t legally allowed to ask if the person carrying a gun has a permit isn’t news. It’s the effect of poor legislation.
