World-renowned jewelry thief Doris Payne was arrested Dec. 13 by Dunwoody Police after allegedly stealing a diamond necklace from a store in Perimeter Mall.
A police report shows that Payne, 86, was arrested and charged with stealing a $1,995 diamond necklace from Von Maur.
She was booked at the DeKalb County jail and was released on bond on Dec. 16, according to Reporter broadcast partners CBS46.
Payne was arrested in Atlanta last year after she allegedly stole a pair of $690 Christian Dior earrings from Saks Fifth Avenue at Phipps Plaza.
Payne has stolen more than $2 million in jewelry over the past 60 years and was the featured in the 2013 documentary, “The Life and Crimes of Doris Payne.”
