As Hurricane Harvey continues to bring widespread devastation to Texas, charity organizations are asking for the public’s assistance. Here’s a roundup of reputable organizations that need donations today.

American Red Cross
Visit redcross.org or call 1-800-RED CROSS or text the word HARVEY to 90999 to make a $10 donation.

Samaritan’s Purse
The organization is mobilizing staff, equipment and volunteers to Texas and will help rebuild and restore homes. To make a donation, visit samaritanspurse.org.

The Salvation Army
Make a donation at salvationarmyusa.org.

Habitat for Humanity
The nonprofit organization is developing response teams and assessing shelter and housing needs for those affected by the storm. Make a donation at habitat.org/harvey or by calling 1-800-HABITAT (1-800-422-4828).

Global Giving
The Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund supports work by local, vetted, established nonprofit organizations responding to the storm. To donate, visit globalgiving.org/harvey. You can also text HARVEY to 80100 to donate $10 to GlobalGiving’s Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund.

Kroger Supermarkets
Kroger is asking its customers to give money to benefit victims of Hurricane Harvey by “rounding up” their purchases to the nearest dollar or making a cash donation when they visit their local Kroger. Customers’ donations will assist the American Red Cross in providing aid to victims of Hurricane Harvey. Kroger will begin accepting donations  through Sunday, Sept. 3.
