All Sandy Springs Police Department patrol officers are now wearing body cameras on duty, according to Deputy Chief Keith Zgonc. The City Council approved the purchase of about 70 TASER Axon brand body cameras in March.

The cameras are always on, recording briefly and then re-recording over footage, unless the officer is responding to a specific incident, when he or she triggers it to keep recording.
