Jim Getzinger

Real estate company Compass has launched in Atlanta with some familiar names – Jim Getzinger and Jere Metcalf.
Both Getzinger and Metcalf are top sellers with the Atlanta Realtors Association and Atlanta Fine Homes Sotheby’s International Realty. The Wieloch Group, led by Jason Wieloch previously with Keller Williams, has also joined Compass.
Launched in 2012, Compass is a fast-growing upstart on the real estate scene and using technology to simplify the experience of buying and selling a home. Compass takes a hyper-localized approach when expanding to new cities, partnering with agents as local and neighborhood experts and hiring local staff to bring the Compass brand and approach to each unique market.
“Compass’ unique blend of support, technology and marketing will allow me to take my business to next level,” Getzinger said. “It’s truly impressive what they’ve been able to build in a short amount of time, and I’m excited to be a partner in bringing their world-class service to the agent community and our clients in Atlanta.”
Compass aims to grow its Atlanta presence in the coming months with office spaces in Buckhead and Midtown. Compass has hired 13 Atlanta-based full time employees and plans to hire additional expert marketers, designers and administrators to provide best-in-class support to its agents.
“Atlanta is a market we’re really excited about,” said Rob Lehman, Chief Growth Officer of Compass. “The market is so unique, and we’re thrilled to partner with local experts like Jim, Jere and Jason as we build our presence in Atlanta. We look forward to bringing our world-class technology, marketing and support to real estate agents and their clients across the market.”
