WSB-TV reports that six people have been injured in an overnight drive-by shooting in the Old Fourth Ward.
The incident occurred around 3 a.m. outside an apartment building near the intersection of Parkway Drive and North Avenue. According to police reports, the six people were on the sidewalk when two cars – one a dark colored sedan – pulled up and opened fire. Multiple rounds were fired from both cars.
When police arrived at the scene, they found five with gunshot wounds and a sixth victim had already been driven to nearby Atlanta Medical Center for treatment.
Police said the victims were five men and a woman, all in the their 30s. They were taken to Grady Hospital, where two underwent surgery and are in critical condition. The others are listed as in stable condition.
