Two North Springs Charter High School students have been named Governor’s Honors Program semi-finalists.
Grace Kirschner, junior, has been nominated for communicative arts and Matthew Szabo, sophomore, has been nominated for theatre. Both candidates will now have a final state-level interview in hopes to be selected as a finalist.
If selected, Kirschner and Szabo will spend four weeks this summer at Berry College in Berry for the GHP Summer Intensive program.
The GHP is a residential summer program for gifted and talented high school students who will be rising juniors and seniors during the program, according to the Governor’s Office of Student Achievement.
The program is designed to provide students with academic, cultural, and social enrichment necessary to become the next generation of global critical thinkers, innovators and leaders, according to GOSA’s website.
