The city of Dunwoody announced the March 12 “State of the City” by Mayor Lynn Deutsch has been canceled due to concerns about the coronavirus. The announcement was made a few hours before the event was to begin at 7 p.m.

“In light of new developments today regarding public events and the coronavirus, we have decided to cancel tonight’s Dunwoody State of the City,” says a post on the city’s website and its social media sites.

“We regret any inconvenience this decision might cause and hope you will understand. We will work with Mayor Lynn Deutsch to reschedule this event at a later date,” the post said. “In the meantime, we’ve set up a special website to share updates and prevention information from our county, state and federal partners.”
